Porsche Cars North America Reports March U.S. Sales
ATLANTA, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced retail sales in the United States increased by 6 percent for the month. The company sold 2,799 cars, making it the best March in history. In addition, 911 sales were up by 26 percent to 991 cars, making it the best March in history for that model. Demand remained high for the Cayenne, with dealers recording the highest number ever for customers ordering cars to their specification. However, restricted supplies that resulted from a variety of market and business conditions kept sales below last year's March level.
"We are working through some supply challenges with Cayenne," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "We are happy that spring is here and our sports car models are really taking off." In addition, dealers sold 475 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, compared to 394 for the same period last year. Code:
