I see this is an older thread - but thought I'd add to it anyway - it's still a challenge.....

I just spent an hour or so visiting 3 or 4 smog check places (generally prices in the $35 range) in the Evergreen area of San Jose - none could smog the Boxster 09 'S' - I drove up to Saratoga Ave and found 'Saratoga Avenue 76' @ 590 Saratoga Ave (@ 280) - they were able to smog - price with certificate $78......I'd have thought by now the Boxster would have become common enough that the smog guys wouldn't have any difficulty doing what they needed to get the job done - but apparently not....RickJ
