Install Retractable Rear Spoiler?
I dont have a retract button on my drivers console and so I am uncertain I even have a retractable Rear Spoiler.
Can I get one installed? Or should I bother?.... ![]() |

Driver's footwell...
To my understanding (and others can correct me if I am mistaken) all Boxsters have the retractable spoiler. The the spoiler extends when the car exceeds 75mph (makes for a more stable car). The standard location of the switch to extend the spoiler manually is in the driver's footwell. It is a black toggle-like switch. Press it up to extend, then down to retract.
There are kits out there that allow you to re-wire your car so that the toggle switch is on the center dash with the door locks, PCM (if equipped), top retraction, etc.

Rear Spoiler
I need to check that out- Thanks!
Then I'll look into the hack to move it to the center console. ![]() |

Spoiler Switch
Its in the left hand side of the footwell near the fuses. Its a black rocker switch in the middle of a black surround - so it can be hard to see. The other problem I have is that I have to bend so far over to activate the switch that I can't see what the spoiler is doing.
