Tire Choice

Hi guys,
I'm getting some new tires, just wanted to get your opinion. I'm debating on
1. Yokohama AVS ES100 or
2. Kumho ECSTA SPT
I hear that both tires are good, but the Yokohama got a little more negative reviews like Yoko's are too loud & too square. Please tell me what you think or what you would suggest, much appreciated
Cheers,
Joe

Is your choice being driven by price or performance?

Dude, how I miss my Kumho ECSTA SPT when I bought my new wheels, it came with Hankook Vecsta...that thing is so loud in the freeway

As soon as my tires need replacement, Im going back to Kumho

Hey Gerry,
That's good to hear that the SPT's are quiet on the road. Hey, do you want to join us for the Sharkwerks Customer Appreciation Day Bay Area Meet here in Fremont tomorrow? We're meeting her @ my house @ 11am then drive to another friends house to meet up w/ the RGruppe then drive to Sharkwerks. You're more than welcome to join us.
Ciao,
Joe

I'd love to go there and bring my friend who just bought an 07 Cayman S @ Fremont Porsche yesterday but I got in laws coming over and I must behave like a Altar Boy if I want to get the Orange Boxster

Gerry, In-laws coming over? That sounds like a reason to go to the event... (Works for me, my in-laws are in for the weekend as well and anything that gets me out of the house is a good thing)
BTW, did you find the audio codec ok?

don't want to hijack the thread*
Yap...the most dreadful word "In Laws" are coming over..hehehehehe! actually, it will be a good thing coz' i gotta get some pointers to wifey due to the car activities coming up for the next month. I won't even make it to the Moffet Field today

back to topic
Joe, I think for general use, I would suggest the Kumho (if this is for your box, not for the GT3)...green with envy, running away from the laptop...crying..uhuhuhuhuhu

Hey Gerry,
Yeah, 07 GT3 in Carrera White w/ blk leather & Alcantera, Red seat belts & Bi-Xenon headlights. That's as far as I can go w/ options on this car, the wife said I can finally get the GT3 when she finished anastesiolegy (however you spell it). She graduated last week, so she gets wood floors & granite counter tops, that's our deal.
Maybe next time, do you plan on going to the PartsHeaven Swap meet & Concours next Sunday? My friend is going to set up a booth & I'll probably drive w/ the RGruppe Sunday morning. Let me know.
Ciao,
Joe
