The double-clutch transmission Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) is now available as an option for the first time on the new 911 models, offering manual and automatic shift modes. This transmission enables gear changes to be executed extremely fast. Dede, I'd also love to get the PDK and Direct Injection, but why would you want to downgrade to a 911?

Pedro..i was reading this article in Car and Driver mag about the 911 engine they put on Cayman and WOW is the only word to describe it and with what you're saying that all these thing will come to Boxster soon....

Thanks for posting about the cayman with the 911 Gerry. I read up on it - called the Cayman GTR, with the 3.8L 911S x51 package engine, LSD etc. in it. Great on paper, and probably could be executed much better - cost around $125k total, and while 0-60 etc were better than cayman S, it was actually inferior to the cayman S around the skidpad and slalom. I'd still take it though

Apparently the company in CT only made about 20 of these, so pretty rare as well. Anyone here have one of these?

yes I know, sounds fun (someday not right away) just waiting to get my kids out of college, stop working,,,,,etc,etc and keep convincing Kev
like a Ferrari or Lambo too.

or really go the dark side ........Carrera GT (I wish)
