Wow..that oil change special is sweet since just a quart of oil from the dealer already cost $9.50. I wish i can take a raincheck since my car only has 1000 miles and it is definitely too far away from the first change...

Tom,

Will there be an expiration date on the coupons they give out? I just had my 45k service done, but would like to come pick up the coupon for the 60k service. However, with winter coming it's probably going to take me a while to get to 60k.

The coupons normally have a 3 or 6 month expiration on them. I'm only 5K miles from a 60K service but I've been putting so little mileage on the car that may be a year away for me!

I was trying to decide if I should attend, of course I want to hang out with fellow Babblers, but I'm at 58k and I’m planning to do the 60k myself... then on the drive home from work, I started thinkin'. At $99 for an oil change, that's just about cost for autozone oil and autohausaz filter., so why not let them do that job.

Then I got to thinkin' some more. The other dirty job is the fuel filter. Tom, do you think while they have the car on the rack for the oil change, I could add a few more labor dollars and let them swap out the fuel filter? After all, the car has to sit there while the oil drains anyway.

That way, I could do the plugs, air & cabin filter and Serpentine belt in the next 2000 miles and still get the DIY and wallet joy of the rest of the 60k.

Do you think POF would be amenable to a fuel filter exchange? I don't want to insult our gracious hosts.

It certainly won't hurt to give them a call and ask about it.

I'm all set for an oil change at 11:00 and Mark said, "no problem" with the fuel filter, so I'll see all ya Babblers on Saturday!
