Cool Headrest Windscreens...not the window

Newbie here: I've a 2000 S with that middle acrylic wind deflector, but am missing the two headrest windscreens. Question: Do they really perform as a windscreen? I'm 6'2" and my geezer gray locks blow all over the place with the top down and the wind sound in my hearing aids drive me batty. So, I did get a shorter haircut (or wear a cap) and pocket the ear whistles, but if those windscreens work, I'd look into sourcing a pair. What say you?

I am also a geeser with hearing aids.
They do help some but I was more concerned about the cost. I wanted my Boxter as authentic as possible and it looked kind of naked without them .
Expect to pay about 135.00 each,
which I feel is a little steep fo 2 pieces of plastic.

Dismantlers aka wrecking yards would have them. A list of such places is here.
