2005 Porsche 911 Triptonic
Considering my first 911 purchase. I've found a 2005 911 low mileage 1owner.
Everything checks out including IMS bearing replacement. Only hesitation is tiptronic transmission. It would be a daily driver about 5 k miles a year. I'm not looking to put it on a track or do performance driving. Would I be buying a car that would be difficult to sell? Should I only consider manual transmission? |

Hey Didlaw, that's a good model with the much better headlights!!! Tiptronic is both wonderful and questionable for the purist. We shifter prefer the standard tranny but a Porsche Tip is a great system. Gotta admit though when I bought my Spyder it had to be a stick... Either way you will love the car!! :-))) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Been a writer for car magazine, but never heard of a Tiptronic term before. Am I missing something here?
