Pictures from the Monterey Weekend

McCall's Motorworks theme of cars and planes Wednesday night.

Cobra Daytona Coupe

Ferrari California Spyder and Boeing Business Jet 737

Thursday's Pebble Beach Tour had a lunch stop on Ocean Avenue. Typical traffic for the weekend.

Friday had us going to Quail Lodge. One display featured actual racecars from the 24-hour race. Here is a 914.

Sometimes some bloke won't get out of the picture. I was trying to capture the 2003 winner, a Bentley.

Some great Porsches were represented. This 1950 356 Cabriolet had an unusual color scheme.

Of course we need a 917/10.

That afternoon we headed for the new digs for Concorso Italiano. They have some problems to solve for next year regarding traffic and other things, but the Lambo's made a nice picture.

The Ford GT was a hit all weekend. Here is the 1967 winning GT-40 Mk IV of Gurney and Foyt.

The street car.

At Pebble Beach, the theme continued with the entire Class of GT-40's on the ramp (6 cars) to receive awards. Each car was discribed and the history of each chassis related.

Bugatti was also well represented. This was the most significant display of Bugatti's in history. I've never seen this many historic Bug's in one place. There were about 40 Type 57's made by the factory in the 1930's and at least 20 were in Monterey. Unbelieveable!

A pair of Ralph Lauren's Type 57SC's, the Atlantic Electron coupe and a Gangloff Cabriolet.

A special favorite of mine, Aurturo Keller's 1938 Bugatti Type 57S Gangloff Cabriolet.

Fianlly, the Best of Show winner. The sister car to Ralph Lauren's, The 1935 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Electron Coupe owned by Peter Williamson of Lyme, New Hampshire.
