Cool ZEINTOP - BOXSTER HARDTOP by Z-Art

Does anybody remember the hardtop that changes the Boxster into a Cayman?

Andreas Zeinecke the inventor of the Zeintop for the Boxster and owner of Z-Art Automotive Design will be here in the Bay Area this week.

He will be at the Boxster Brunch this Saturday at Alice's Restaurant at 10am. He may attend the PCA LPR picnic in Los Gatos on Saturday as well.
If anyone is interested in meeting Andreas, stop by Alice's Restaurant this Saturday August 7th.

He & his business partner arrived in San Diego on August 1st to meet some people in southern California and will be in the San Francisco Bay Area on the 4th for about a week. Andreas is looking for distributors for his product both in California and Florida.

I have recommended several companies for him to have appointments with:
Performance Art, Gilroy
Sharkwerks, Fremont
BBI Autosport, Huntington Beach
Pelican Parts

Does anyone have other recommendations for Andreas?
In California and in Florida

Info about Z-Art
Andreas Zeinecke has recently relocated from
Switzerland to Saint Paul Alberta/Canada.

Z-Art Specializes in...
Porsche exterior tuning
997 mirror look for 996/ 986
New design for 997/987 front ends
Hardtops and body kits for Boxster 986 in the newest 987 Spyder look.
New 997 look mirror shell for all 996 Carrera and 986 Boxster

All tops are made from modified OEM aluminum Porsche tops, including a fiber glass hatch. Tops are ready for paint, more than 80% of the tops are original Porsche parts.

From Pelican Parts Forum in regards to the Zeintop...
I'm going to keep the photo of the top in my 101 book regardless. Perhaps someone will purchase the plans and start reproducing the tops? Or manufacture another top similar in idea?

-Wayne

I have heard from sources that the tops will be coming back in the near future. Stay tuned ...I will post more details when I get more information...

-Wayne

It's great to see so much interest in the aftermarket for these cars. I can't wait to see what the future holds. My Boxster book is due out in November or so, and should hit right as people are snatching these cars up for $10K or less! I hope to make this forum the go-to place for technical advice, much like the 911 forums!

Why would anyone put those ugly side vents on a beautifully designed car?

Those pictures are only showing some of the
things that Z-Art Automotive design have produced.
Not the complete line of modifications or product.
There are many photos floating around on forums
and websites. In regards to the side vent, that
side vent can be painted to match the car.
I am sure you could decide on how you want it to
look, a personal choice.
Sorry, that was not explained beforehand

Why not. This hardtop (Zeintop) is a nice upgrade for some
of the earlier Boxsters that you can pick up at a great price
now. Take a look at the new photos below, the hardtop
is seamless. Pretty smart idea!

Wayne Dempsey, CEO of Pelican Parts thinks its great!

"Do a thread search on zeintop and you'll find a half dozen
forum members with them.
After lots of fitment fiddling, everyone seems to love these tops.
One day when someone sells one for next to nothing and
it's painted black, I'll buy one and turn my box into a Cayman."

No problem dajusnes, I understand you perfectly.

Yes, the hardtops will be coming back soon, but not just yet.

For more information phone Claude 1.780.645.8449

or email to: "z-art" <zeinecke@bluewin.ch>

or find Andreas Zeinecke on Facebook

and Z-ART Automotive on Facebook

Z-Art automotive will be setting up their website soon.

Z-Art, Andreas Zeinecke the owner & inventor of the Zeintop
has just moved from Switzerland to Canada. He is looking for
distributors/investors in California and in Florida. Actually,
he is in southern California now and will be in the San Francisco
Bay Area this week before he heads back to Canada before
the 15th of this month. I will be meeting him this Saturday.
Do you have any questions for him, let me know?
And I will try to find out for you.

BTW, folks do not confuse Christoph Zeinecker with Andreas Zeinecke.
The latter actually INVENTED the hard top design and
has NOTHING TO DO with Zeintec.
Here is some other info about the Zeintec hardtop when it was Zeintec.

The two parties are members of the same family and
that is as far as it goes! Andreas has his own business,
"Z-Art" and currently work in Switzerland. He has
relocate to Canada with a business partner. He MAY
decide to manufacture the Boxster tops later on in
conjunction with all his other quality products, but
this will be completely separate to the Zeintec exercise.

Zeintop hardtop makes your convertible Boxster look like a coupe.
Although the ZEINTOP is a removable hardtop, it can be left on
indefinitely if required. No permanent modification to your Boxster
is required and thus it can be returned to standard in minutes.
Fits:
Porsche 986 Boxster 1997-2004
Porsche 987 Boxster 2004>>

Why not, because I bought my Boxster because it was a convertible and if I'd wanted a HT I would have bought a Caymen. Pretty smart idea is a matter of personal choice.

Yes, it is a matter of personal choice. Not suggesting you need a HT.
It is just the idea...... a removable hardtop, it can be left on
indefinitely if required. No permanent modification to your Boxster
is required and thus it can be returned to standard in minutes.

This type HT is perfect for me. because the cayman is expensive compared to the boxster.
The boxster i bought cost around $28000 in norway, while a cayman kost more like $45000.
