Track info from the "Loco Donutz" group - a SF Bay Area group...

If you're jonesin' for a bit of quality track time RIGHT NOW, check out the note from our friends at TracQuest below. Todd has an event next Friday & Saturday at Thunderhill which has plenty of space left.

Many of you have run with TracQuest and know that these are great events; for those that haven't, the TracQuest events are excellent for all levels of experience as there are instructors assigned to students (who request them). If you were looking to hit the track soon this is an event to attend!

The donutz crew will be at the event testing a couple of our new race cars. We hope to see many of you at the event!

Subject: FW: TracQuest DE Event At Thunderhill on Friday-Saturday,
February 8-9

TracQuest still has plenty of spots open for its DE event at Thunderhill
on Friday-Saturday, February 8-9. You can sign up for one or both days.

Along with safety, TracQuest events are known for great people, great
cars, great food, great instruction and tons of track time. All cars
are welcome, and all kinds of cars show up - Porsches, Ferraris, BMW's,
Audis, Miatas, RX-7's, Corvettes, Vipers and more. The only safety
equipment required is a helmet. The only limitation is imposed by
Thunderhill: convertibles must have roll protection. However, any
factory roll protection is acceptable, including the roll hoops in
Boxsters, Z3's, etc. and pop-up bars in Porsche 996 Cabriolets and BMW
E46 M3's.

This event will not be full, so it's likely that after a short time,
people will be allowed to run in more than one run group, as long as
they obey the passing rules of the group on track. This means that you
can get 6-8 hours of track time over the two days, if you don't run out
of energy, brakes and tires!

A caterer will provide coffee and Continental breakfast in the morning,
a great hot lunch and all the drinks you want throughout both days. A
banquet on Friday night (at the Maxwell Inn in Maxwell, about 15 miles
south of the track) is also included in the entry fee. Event
headquarters is the Golden Pheasant hotel in Willows, about 7 miles from
the track.

An event write-up and entry form are available on the TracQuest web site
at www.tracquest.com, or I can email these documents to you upon
request. If you have any questions, let me know.
