THBL, Friday AM caravan

Hey there Babblers. I'm starting this thread for the caravan to TBHL leaving Friday AM. (maybe lets have other threads for other caravans (thus via LA, etc))

Looks like CatalogGuy, Me, Jay in SF want to leave Friday AM, anyone else? Any preferences for meeting places and routes?

good for some not for all

It looks like a lot of folks are interested in doing just that. But some of us aren't or can't. So at least of few of us will be leaving Friday AM.

Actually I like this route;
101 south from San Jose
25 to hollister
198 to Coalinga
33 to maricopa
166 to 5 just north of the grapevine. Great deserted roads with no cops and you avoid the maddening 250 miles of I5 sit-behind-trucks-going-54mph. I burnt out on that when I commuted between San Diego and San Jose, always go the back way now.

cheers

Yes!

Works for me. I drove to LA last night and this AM I am in no shape to enjoy driving with my buds. I recommend some sleeping in between . Just can't take the extra time away to leave Thursday during the day. I would really enjoy the drive with the larger group. Those are great fun and I am sorry that the schedule will just not allow me to participate. So... Friday AM group, yee ha!!!
