dead battery
just out of curiosity. How would you get to a dead battery if the hood is closed?
Thanks |

Pry bar
There are several different ways to get into the front trunk. '01 - '02 are easy as the instructions are in the owner's manual.
Some of us have extended the emergency release cable to a location where it is easy to get to in the event of a dead battery. It takes me about 5 seconds to open my front trunk, from outside the car, without the key or lever. Dan and I came up with another method a few months ago. It is listed under Babblers extras. Re: Pry bar
Can I reach the cable through the tow eye without the hack. I have a 98 with a dead battery and am trying everything. I don't want to mess with the fuse box. Any suggestions before I pull out the rest of my hair.
