Rough Start / Initial Idle
I have a 07 Boxster S with 18K miles
Recently, I have been having a random issue where I attempt start the vehicle after it has been sitting for 12+ hours and it starts very rough; i.e. not all cyclinders are firing and it is emitting white/blue smoke. After about 20 seconds of very rough idling, it just starts to run fine. Additionally, not sure if this is a completely separate matter, but my temp gauge does not work randomly as well. Does anyone have a solution for the rough start issue?

Are you getting ...
Quote:
If it's misfiring you should get a CEL. If your CEL is on you need to have the code read to figure out exactly what's going on. If your DME is loosing power from the battery it will reset to default and that would give you the symptoms you describe. Happy Boxstering, Pedro |
