How do you remove stock door sill plates?

Are they glue in? I dont want to damage anything when I install the new ones.

Welcome.

The stock door sill plates are held in with fairly strong double stick tape. If you begin prying them up slowly you should be able to remove them w/o any damage.

Shoot Tom

Finally one that I know the answer to, and you beat me. Seems like I remember reading that some people have had luck taking dental floss and working it back and forth under the sill.

Now that you mention it I do seem to recall that at least one person has suggested that. It may have even been BoxsterBob.

Yes, I've read that, but never had to actually do it. Mine came with Stainless Boxster sills. I also recall reading that a hair dryer or other harmless source of heat helps the process along.
