When you have to go 212mph

This was posted by CR on the German board and when it was linked to CFGs board it was there for a while but deleted. Had nothing to to with speed. I guess no one here knows what is GFG since you are too new.

Sustain multi-hours on max speed

I remember the guy who posted the first pic said that he did max speed sustained for at least an hour, and very high speed before and after for a few hours. This was on a very hot day in germany in 90 degree weather. Note that the temp gauge shows normal.

Remember, You push the switch to activate, but you still need

to set the speed before the cruise control actually is
engaged. So the indicator light being on, could or could not
mean cruise control is engaged.

I know. I was cracking wise.

I think every car in the universe has a 2 step process for the cruise control. The first step triggers a light and enables the 2nd step.

When I got this car, almost all of my passengers asked me what the light was. I tell them it's the cruise control and they say something dim like, "But you're not on cruise right now." I just find it funny that it doesn't occur to them that it is just enabled but not activated.

So I was just saying that if you see that light and automatically assume that someone is actively using cruise control, then by that logic I autox with the cruise on because that light is always on in my car.
