Just bought my first Porsche, a 2000 Boxster, and I love it!! I'm wondering what kind of tires you senior members run on 18" rims. The car came with P-ZERO's and they feel fine, tho' not a whole lot of tread left. I'll need to replace next year, and like to get advise from those who have "been there & done that". What else can I learn from long time Boxster owners?

Welcome!
You will probably get as many answers to that question as there are Babblers on this Board.
It mostly depends on what you're looking for:
a) Performance
b) Wet weather
c) Summer
d) Winter
e) All Season
f) Cost
g) Quiet-running
h) Track use
i) .....
j) ....
....
z) Combinations of a-y
My personal tire choice is the Kumho Ecsta SPT
I've replaced 17 sets of rears and 8 sets of fronts and they all have been Kumho Ecsta.
My car is my Daily Driver, Weekly AX'er, Monthy DE'er and Yearly BRBS'er. And I do all that with my trusty Kumhos.
BTW, they are probably the most economical performance tire in the (US) market.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

I'm also a new Porsche owner. I brought home a '99 Boxster 2 weeks ago. It is going to need an alignment and therefore tires very soon. I have standard rims and use it as a daily driver. Tucson summers get over 100 degrees daily. Any suggestions?

Also, would you trust the "discount chains" to align your car and mount your tires?
