Boxster Visor Stickers?

I thought I remembered someone babbling about some nice custom black stickers for Boxsster owners to put over the ugly airbag warnings on the sun visors...where can I find these?

(Duct tape would look better than the factory applied, lawyer induced warning stickers that come with the car...but I'm trying to maintain some level of decorum)

The easiest thing is to paint them.
Get Black Satin spray paint for plastics at any home improvement center and paint the back side of the visors (usually it's just the mirror flap).
This is very quick, looks good, lasts forever and is cost effective.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

See this thread....

However, I managed to remove all 4 stickers with lacquer thinner. Be careful, use small cotton balls or a clean cloth. Work in small areas at a time. Don't get the thinner near the hinges, they might melt. Cover your dashboard and car seats, can be a bit messy. Pretty easy to do!

And now my visors are free of all 4 stickers now.

Better yet, unscrew the visors and then paint/clean them outside of the vehicle.

If you are going to paint them, oh yes take the visors off !!!
I rather not paint them though.

I did what Dedes did and removed mine with lacquer thinner. It worked great. Just take your time and put some towels down on your seats.

I used denatured alcohol on my Box and isopropyl on wife's X5 to remove warnings.. Denatured was faster/easier.

Soak a sponge and squeeze excess alcohol out. Hold against decal until it softens. Then start peeling from any cornor.

I ended up taking the stickers off using acetone...it was the organic solvent that I happened to have. I would advise AGAINST using acetone unless you are very careful about it. It did great taking the decal off the visor itself, but it reacted a bit with the harder plastic on the mirror covers. If you use it sparingly it will be ok, but if you use to much it may cause some deformation of the mirror cover plastic.

In my case it was only a slight bubbling. Since both the hinges for both mirrors were shot on my car when I got it, I'm planning on replacing the mirrors with the European illuminated ones when I have the cash to burn.
