Thumbs up UPDATE on the Saturday "The Drive" part May 15th

I got a email from Kurt Fischer from Porsche Club Redwood Region/Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance

Dede...
As of today...65 cars on the drive and I know of at least 6 more that should be coming this week.
Almost to the magic 75 car limit!
....we are on a separate drive from the sloooow other cars! We all will meet up at the Ranch for lunch!

We know our roads... and wineries... we are the REDWINE Region

Wait unitl you see in person the organization of the M&S Concours. Last year... the 1st year I was blown away at the cars... the setting, etc.

Thanks again for all the plugs!
Kurt

...looks like we have 65 Porsches signed up and 6 more applications coming in this week...so just a few more spots available (75 is the magic number for the Porsches on "The Drive" and 75 for the other vintage all types of cars) = 150 cars!! Whoo Hooo!!

Has anyone heard back from the Concours since sending their forms in?

I signed up for the Tour about 3 weeks ago and have not heard back from anyone.

I found out my car had been accepted in The Drive and The Corral from Kurt Fisher. I got an email from the Concours group saying my car had been accepted and more details would follow. It didn't say what my car was accepted for so I guess that will be in the details to follow. For an event of this magnitude communications really need to be improved. Try emailing Kurt for an answer and look at your bank account to see if your check has been cashed those were my first two clues.

Marin Sonoma Concours
show details 10:46 AM (5 hours ago)

Dear Drive Participants,

Congratulations on being accepted for the Drive event. We look forward to seeing you Saturday, May 15th at 8 am at Piazza D’Angelo’s located at 22 Miller Ave., Mill Valley, CA. 94941.

Please look for the volunteers that will be directing you to the parking area. Check in will occur at Piazza D’Angelo’s Restaurant, this is when you will receive your door decals and route instructions

Along our route, cell reception can often be inconsistent. If you are stopped on the side of the road with a problem please flag down another vehicle, if you are just pulled over to rest please give a thumbs up to let us know that you do not need assistance.

Please share the road with cyclists and obey the rules of the road. Please note that all drivers must carry a working fire extinguisher.

Tickets may still be available for the VIP tent on Sunday, May 16th. We have six phenomenal restaurants catering the food inside of the VIP tent this year. We will also be offering boutique wine tasting on Sunday for $15.00. Please contact us if you would like more information, or order online at www.MarinSonomaConcours.org.

Let’s make this a safe, enjoyable event for everyone.
