Arrow Update as of 12/21/2011

12/21/11 - Steve Searles aka 80-911SC has just replied to a thread - entitled - New Years Day ... NorCal East Bay - forum of Pelican Parts
This thread is located at:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-new-post.html

Here is the message that has just been posted:
***************
After a few ideas i think we are settled on finishing the run at Sunol Park ...
After speaking with them they assured that there is plenty of parking and picnic areas for us and great landscape and photo spots ... we will try to get the Green barn as our picnic spot ... I would recommend bringing a bag lunch or there are a few spots to drop thru on McKee and also some within driving distance of the end point.

There is a 5 dollar entry to the park but the money goes directly to the EB Parks Dept and as I said the photo op's will be plentiful and there are restroom facilities there ...

So lets start the year right ... good people ... great cars ... and a get-together after ... most of these type runs people never have the time to talk .. show up .. drive .. and go ..

See ya there .... Steve

Hey Dede,
Looks like Cindy and I won't make the 7am meeting place and Livermore. We have a New Years eve party at our place to meet our future in-laws to be for the first time.

We do plan on meeting the group at the halfway point. Looking at Mt Hamilton area.

Will this be ok.

No worries, understandable. Just show up when you can.

Are you thinking of merging with the group up by the observatory?...not sure what the timing will be, maybe between 10-11 am...as far as arrival? Hard to tell. Leaving Livermore at 8:30am.

And I am not sure all the 45+ cars (maybe more) will stop up at the observatory...only for use of the restroom. Lack of parking space up there at the observatory...but we will double park if we have too.

Maybe you can just watch out for us as we approach the area. I think the Porsches will be taking over the hills that morning!

Bring a bag lunch for the Sunol Park..towards the end of the drive. Where we will be doing group photo shots as well. We have some professional photographers on board

Please don't hesitate to email Steve Searles...who is the organizer at: onethousandminus89@comcast.net

See you there!
