Hillsborough Concours and Tour d'Elegance

Greetings Fellow Boxster Owners-

For those of you who are not familiar with it, I want to let you all know of a fantastic car show and Tour on Sept 11 (Tour) and Sept 12 (Concours).

The Hillsborough Concours is the oldest, continuously running Concours on the West Coast. Until this year, it was a fundraiser for the Hillsborough Schools Foundation. For 2010, the charities that will benefit from the event include Autism Speaks and the 49ers Foundation.

This is the 54th Year of the Concours and the 10th Anniversary of the Tour.

I am a co-chair of the Tour: a 60-80 mile drive along Highway 1 and through the Santa Cruz mountains for classics as well as future classics, ending with a lunch for the drivers at a SPECIAL Hillsborough location TBA.

Check out the website and PLEASE JOIN US!!

My apologies-

This is NOT a 986 or 987 only event. It isn't even limited to Porsches. It is a Concours that will include 200+ judged entries in all car classes. The tour is a subset of these cars as well as enthusiasts who are interested in participating to help support the event.

TOUR on Saturday (application required)
CONCOURS on Sunday (all you need is a ticket!)

Is it too late to register for the tour? According to the website the deadline has passed for registration.

It also looks like they are having a club corral this year as well.

We should get a bunch of 986's and 987's together for it.

Car Corral and Online Registration

I will have the webmaster fix the registration date issue. YES you can still apply for the Tour.

We are having a car corral this year - it is a GREAT deal since it is essentially a reasonable fee to have what amounts to VIP parking.
