Boxster or Boxter S
I have a 2000 Boxster which I am told by many is actually a Boxster S. How can I truly tell which it is? The exhaust is Boxster S, but as registered is just a Boxster. Please help. Annie

Well the easy telltales would be the 3rd air intake in the front, the red calipers and the door sills would say Boxster S on them. The sure way to tell is to look at the 5th digit of the VIN - it should be a 'B' (i.e. WPOCB....)

If you have a manual transmission, a 6-speed (6fwd, 1 reverse) will imply the S model, and a 5-speed (5fwd, 1 reverse) will imply the base model. Good luck with your discovery.
