I am disappointed my smily with tongue sticking out didn't come out right.

but you get the idea I was just messing with ya. I have a coworker here in Oakland that is very very proud of his New Jersey beginnings. He's been in Silicon Valley and the surrounding areas for a decade or so and has yet to be assimilated into CA culture. Good luck with your top. I too had to have a top replaced and I too would almost kill for a glass window.

Two answers...

1. The official answer: no

2. The other answer: it's possible. Especially if you are (a) willing to take risks (financial and with your car) and (b) if you have someone like Tool Pants around - is there anyone else anywhere like Tool Pants? Hmmmm - not likely but that's a subject for another post

I understand that the new top has an extra rib in it so it's more than just the fabric and glass in the top.

Picture is of tool belt, not to be confused with Tool Pants

Not an expert, but...

From conversations I've had with the guys at Carlsen, the 2003 roof will fit only with additional hydraulic changes. In other words, the arms manipulating the 2000 roof need to be changed to those found in the 2003. It's unclear how much additional work to the body is required to ensure those arms function in the 2000.

Good luck. Hope you figure out a way that doesn't cost megabucks.
