Good that the driver was not injured. Is (was?) that the GT3 which was in Stead's showroom several weeks ago?

I don't know the history of the car, but I heard that the driver had owned it "for about a year." I hesitated starting this thread and was careful in my wording to not pass judgement or cause offense. Sarcaism is a very dangerous thing in this digital age.

Could not make it for the trackday sorry I missed it the weather was great.

Re turn 8, it can be a fast turn and I have seen several drivers have an OTE there. Oh well it is a nice warning to us all to drive within our limits.

just curious about something... when an accident such as this happens in the track is this covered by the insurance company or is the owner S.O.L.?

In many cases, the owner is S.O.L. There is a perceived loophole when events are considered, "non timed, driver's education", but many insurance companies are voiding coverage on any venue where racing could be done.

There are special policies available for race events with high premiums and deductibles, not practical for a $15k Boxster, but a $100k+ GT3, that's another story. Here's an article about the insurance industries' thoughts on track events.
