[GGR] 2004 Time Trial Series News

I just received this email via the PCA Golden Gate Region announcements list. Good news for prospective time trialers! The competition director Dan Thompson has been championing some of the changes that Boxster participants have been aching for. Thanks, Dan, for all of your support and hard work!

(See the GGR web site for more info, I removed phone #'s and email addresses from the following text so as not to make them available to spam harvester bots.)

----- BEGIN PASTED MESSAGE ------

This is a message from Ken Park, 2004 Time Trial Chairman

Dear Time Trialers,

The 2004 Time Trial schedule is almost complete.

Tentatively we have four confirmed dates:

February 14–15 Infineon Raceway
March 13–14 Buttonwillow Raceway Park*
April 3–4 Thunderhill Park
May 22–23 Thunderhill Park

Laguna Seca is still processing applications and we should hear from them soon.

The applications for the Infineon event in February will be made available in late December.

* For those interested in a little extra driving, the Central Coast Region has scheduled the Friday, March 12, at Buttonwillow before our weekend. Please watch for additional details.

New ruling for 2004: Boxsters and 996 cabriolets will be allowed to run in the Stock and Improved classes with only factory rollover protection. No additional rollbar extensions will be necessary in either of these
categories.
