pitted windshield and other questions

i was cleaning the windshield of my garage queen when i noticed that my windshield has so many tiny chips- i assume from rocks. i heard people complaining about this before, but has anyone else really looked closely at their windshield? i know its not dirt because i scrubbed hard and felt a LOT of tiny indentations. anyone else noticed this? its worse than my hood. now if only they had some 3m stongard for the windshield.

second question- after many false alarms i think my car is finally low on oil. how much do you normally put to top it off? i heard someone mention to put at the most a quart at a time- so whats the quart to the regular bottle size ratio?- half? 1/3?

Not pitted windows but...

The top edge of the wiper blade is leaving fine scratches on the windscreen any suggestions as how to remove these?

How low is your oil level?

As Tom suggested previously, add a small amount, like one-third of a container, and run that for about a day while you re-check your oil level.

Don't worry about tire wear or pressures...

you'll always have some rubber on the road with this one...
