Arrow About the Babblers Events Committee - Needs Your Help- PLEASE READ!

Hello All Babblers,

Are you interested in organizing and planning drives? Do you
like to work on interesting projects with your fellow
members? Would you like to help put together special events
for your friends? Help as an event photographer? Help with
making interesting website event announcements, etc?

If so, you may be interested in joining the Babblers Events
Committee. This group of people will be responsible for the
planning, organization, and execution of all sanctioned
Babblers events (including drives, contests, parties, tech
events, West Coast Boxsterfest, Spring Frolic, picnics and get togethers).

As an Events Committee member you would commit to at least 6
months or more of active participation, chair and organize at least
one event, be available for once a month or as needed at
in-person meetings, help even if you are not local in the Bay Area,
help other chairs with the execution of their events,
and help raise funds or donations from sponsors to support events .

This is a very special way to enrich the Babblers community
and to share your enthusiasm with others. Please take a
moment and consider whether or not you can make the commitment.
Please email to:dedeseward@gmail.com to indicate your interest.

Having a Babblers Events Committee should mean more and
better drives for us, and events that we haven't even
considered (rallyes, concours, parties, car tech sessions, etc).
It does not mean we won't have ad hoc drives or get togethers.
It does not mean individuals not on the committee can't put together
hack parties. It does not mean you can't sponsor an idea.

It simply is a way to achieve some beneficial organization,
and to share the labor involved in creating events for everyone.

If you have any questions or suggestions please let me know.
Or submit your questions, ideas or suggestions here on this thread.

Thanks for taking the time to read this important message.

Dede

Arrow Ok I am asking again!!!

The Babblers Event Committee (inner circle) would like your help in any way possible, small or large. There are all kinds of things one could contribute to the Babblers Event Committee. For those out of the Bay Area (Northern & Southern California, Nevada, Oregon, etc) can be of help for locating sponsors for events, ideas for future Boxsterfests & large events. And any computer knowledge is most helpful for setting up announcements, assisting the on site events, etc. PLease consider signing up on the events committee "inner circle". Let us know what you can do to contribute. You can PM me or email me at: dedeseward@gmail.com
Thank-you

Thumbs up Welcome Bigb to the Babblers event committee

Bigb was willing to sign up for the "inner circle". With a full time job and a part-time PhD going on, he is happy to help when he can, and you can always count on Bigb to be an enthusiastic participant
Bigb has already started with a Tech Session for this weekend. Check the thread out or look at the calendar for details. Way to go Bigb!!! Thanks

Now if some others would come forward and at least do one small thing for the Babblers Community too! Going forward in 2008 many things will get planned for all to help. So easy to do, no pressure and it is fun. We are all in this together. Not just Porsche! It is the people too with a common interest! Yes, the cars!
