200,000th Boxster rolls off the line !

One thing that I love about our car is that it is exclusive. Even looking at the other Porsche models. Here in San Jose I can go for a week or 2 without seeing another Boxster. And when you do see another Porsche you and the other driver say it all with the eyes, as if we are the knights of the road..The few, The proud..... It is a breath of fresh air in the sea of Camry's, Accord's and such.

are you kidding me? i go three months without seeing another boxster. i passed (going in the opposite direction) a 911 cabriolet the other day, and it was hard to tell who was the most surprised. we both just grinned at each other.

Went into the city (San Francisco for you out of towners ) on Tuesday, and saw 2 other 987S's (one on the Bay Bridge toll plaza, one later on on the bridge). Both drivers were in their own worlds, and didn't acknowledge me. Probably jealous coz mine looked better

I've also run across several in Pleasanton, and got acknowledge only twice - once in the Castlewood area, and once on Hopyard near Providian (or is it WaMu now?) way.

I have to say though, I see more 911's than boxsters typically.

I'm a first-time Boxster owner ('06 Midnight Blue/Black. I LOVE this car!), and while I don't see many other Boxsters, my real surprise has been how much other people like the Boxster. It gets admired and cooed over and drooled on ALL THE TIME. Just adds to the fun of driving it.

I am in the East Bay and see at least one a day. Most of the time I'm driving my 4Runner so no wave. I did get a wave from a guy in a 356 'bathtub' Porsche once. That was cool.

I drive 101 on the Peninsula and it's rare that I don't see at least one other Box a day.

I took these on a rather popular bridge recently. P-cars are so common around here, in one shot I got one coming AND going!
