Re: ANY GOOD PREPURCHASE MECHANIC SHOP IN SF ?

Unfortunately, I can't offer a suggestion - maybe ChatterBox can. How about a dealership in the city? I'd start there since you'll be seeing them over time anyway (at least to buy parts).

DM Motors or RennWerks

Try DM Motors (see Recommendations section on this site) or RennWerks at http://www.rennwerks.com/

They are both in the Pennisula though about 30 mins from SF. I don't know any shops in SF personally. Others might.

Rector Porsche may...

they are in burlingame (650)348-0111 (yes, I know their # by heart). Ask for Dan Spingola (service rep).

You can also try Sonnen in San Rafael, they are about the same distance... I've not had a good experience with them though, so diecide for yourself.

I wish I could help.

Haven't bought a used car in a long time. There was a company called Lemon Busters back in the early 90s in some large cities. Probably others.
