Think the 996 Twin Turbo is fast? (it is) Here's how it compares to 996TT

In case you didn't know, the GT2 is VERY fast...

* It will accelerate from a standstill to 186mph (300km/h) and back to zero again in less time than it takes the 996 Twin Turbo to reach 186mph.

* Around the Nurburgring circuit, the GT2 is approximately 10 seconds a lap quicker than the 996 Twin Turbo.

* Simply reducing the ride height by 20mm reduced the airflow under the GT2 by 15% compared to the 996 Twin Turbo.

* Top speed is 196mph

* 0-100km/h (62mph)takes 4.1 seconds

* 0-100 mph takes 8.5 seconds

* 462hp at 5700rpm

* 457lb-ft at 3500-4500rpm

perhaps you meant comparing the 986 (Boxster) to the 996 (911/Carrera)?

OT comment: I don't mind you not using an e-mail address but "anon e Mouse?" It's hard for me to imagine a good reason to avoid using both your name and your e-mail address.

Duh! My mistake

in this month's issue of Motor Trend (I think) had a GT2 on cover that they don't believe Porsche's numbers. They claim to have gotten a 996 TT from 0-60 in 3.9 sec and think the GT2 will hit it in 3.6. They did not have the opportunity to do 0-60 times with the GT2. I would definitely kill myself in that car.WOW!
