4500 miles on my last set of rears-beat that.

I put on Kumho's MX this Spring. I did one driving event this Spring and normal driving to work on the highway. I then drove from Michigan to San Antonio TX (3000 miles round trip) and when I got back to Michigan the rears were bald! A total of 4500 miles from when I put the new rears on.

I read about people getting 10,000-20,000 miles on their rear tires - how?
I changed to continental conti sport 2 - I'll give them a try.

BTW - 12 hours in the Boxster seat for 2 days was really not bad at all. Sure was a nice road trip!!!

I have put 20-25k on each of the last sets of Yoko AS100s and Kumho Ecsta XPS. No track time, but not exactly dogging it either. 4500? How often do you see smoke in your mirror?
