'02 Carerra exhaust help??

I have an '02 and need one new exhaust - am being told it is the "sport" or "performance" exhaust, that doubles the price ($1086 each), is there anyway to determine what exhaust I do have without removing the wheel and taking the old one off and verifying part numbers?

another party told me that if I had the "sport" exhaust, there would be a switch installed so I could reduce the noise if I desired - I don't know anything about this. thanks for any help!
