I received a mailing from Rector Porsche...

I just got a mailing from Rector Porsche in Burlingame announcing, “Value Pricing”. I see a lot of posts asking about the price of service so this could be used as a reference point. I have no affiliation and other than a gas cap recall, I can't comment on their service from personal experience.

The oil change price seems a bit high. Claridge's is about half that price as I recall. Claridge's also recently had an ad out that included a 10% off any competitors service coupons (I think it was good until the end of the month).

The real key is to shop around and negotiate. The dealer service prices aren't cast in stone and the service writers seem to have some leeway. Of course this probably only applies to repeat customers but it never hurts to ask for a discount!
