Sucking air and shifting
A cheap tweek for air intake is to simply pull off the foam from the standard Boxster air filter. Produces a little more "sound" at higher revs. More power? Diminimus, but sounds like another 5 HP...and easy to try.
I installed a B&M shifter on my '00 S a few years ago and like it a lot more than I thought. Moves the car a little closer to perfection. |

I've installed the EVO cold air induction system and enjoy the throaty sound upon acceleration. It does seem a bit snappier also.
