For Ed at the pinic w/ '98 w/ ignition switch problem

Peter Smith at AB checked your VIN with PCNA. Real interesting how he did it. The only recall for your car is AZ09, the gas cap.

It is an Audi switch but it is cheaper to buy it from Porsche. They are on a third generation of this switch. It is held on with 2 screws.

If you do not want to do it yourself or take it to a dealer, then I would try Tim Benson in Santa Cruz. Last time I saw him he had the switch.

Ignition switch

Thanks for the help. I've been gone for a couple of days so I couldn't immediately respond.

What's the consensus? Is this thing a nuisuance or a problem?
