McLaren F-1

I couldn't talk the owner into displaying this at Palo Alto this year. He want's to keep a low profile. Not sure this is the car to be shy in, but no one will catch him to talk! This is the 3rd chassis built and the last hand made prototype. Up close, the workmanship is beautiful. Stunning car.

From another angle. I am aware of 4 McLarens in the Bay Area with another owner who keeps his in UK. 1 was crashed on 280 1/01 and was shipped back to McLaren for repair. I am not aware of it's return. Unusual cockpit seats 3 with driver in middle. Driver has 2 interior rear view mirrors in addition to the 2 outside. The seats are pretty small, too.

I think there's one on display at the Blackhawk Auto Museum now.
