Problems with pumping gas . . .
I own a 1999 Boxster and I wondered if anyone besides me was having trouble pumping gas into their car? No, I am not talking about the cost I am referring to once the nozzle is inside the car and you squeeze the nozzle handle you can hear what sounds like gas backing up towards the opening and then the pump cuts off. I thought maybe it was the pressure of the gas being too high but no matter how I position the nozzle in the tank it takes forever to fill up the tank. Any suggestions, comments, or words of wisdom?
Thanks, Filagator |

Haven't had that problem, but every now and then, the pump gets tripped early, leaving a couple of gallons worth of space.

me too...
on an '03. I noticed the dealer hadn't filled up the tank when I left the showroom - about 1/2 full.
I tried to fill it a day later and couldn't. Took it back to complain and asked if I could get my "free" tank of gas they promised. They took it in for about 1/2 hour and voila.... tank full and the comment was - "there was no problem". It's worked ever since..... still a mystery as to whether it was 'fixed' in the shop. kj

Well thank goodness I am not the only one. . . I must say it is pretty embarrasing to pull into a gas station and appear to be rationing my gas while I am driving a Porsche. Not to mention the time it takes and the aggravation that goes along with it. I suppose yet another reason to take it in to the shop. This kind of reminds me of having a child. It doesn't seem to cost too much to get one but once you have it you can't seem to stop paying for it. Hmmm. Thanks again for your replys.
