glass window top on pre 2003 boxster

For who's interested,

just had the top with plastic window replaced on my 2001 boxster
with a top from GAHH with glass window last week.
Had it done at ABC upholstery in San Jose.

Even though the size is smaller, I'm amazed by how much clearer it is
to see through it.

The top folds down without doing the chop and it also looks better i.m.o

Ouch! I'd certainly consider this if I needed a top replacement due to fabric wear. Though a new plastic window is only $500 or so if the fabric is in good condition.

Somehow the car feels brand new again, wouldn't go back to plastic ...

Is the top better quality than the orginal?

it's the same german canvas material, so identical to the original

well let me just say it......CRAP......i paid more for a new top with a plastic window about 2 weeks before the word of the glass-windowed top started. you got one heck of a deal!

I understand the new top w/glass does not come with the liner. Since I've never taken my off/apart, how does one get a liner again?
