Hack for removing stickers on visor ?

What is the procedure for removing those
stickers on the sun visors ?
I know some specific alcohol type is required but that's about it

Re: Hack for removing stickers on visor ?

Denatured alcohol obtained from the paint section in any hardware store and paper napkins. Paper napkins are better than terry cloth or paper towels. I did extensive experimentation on mine! Fold the napkin into quarters and saturate with the alcohol. Gently wipe the sticker area on the visor and after just a few seconds it will crumble and disintegrate. You can do it right there in the car without removing the visors. Be careful when you do the mirrored side as you want to get NO alcohol on the hinges (otherwise you will have to reglue the spring).

- some people will tell you to remove the visors. You can. I removed the stickers from the second visor while in the car, the first one I removed from the car. There car is an outstanding holder for the visor - it won't be any steadier on the work bench.

- some people tell you to soak the stickers first. Makes no difference. If the sticker does not disintegrate within seconds, you simply do not have enough alcohol on the napkin. It needs to reach almost a saturation point, not damp... but wet.

- Jules sells cover ups that can be easily applied over the mirror side stickers. Looks pretty good, slightly imperfect as you can see the cover up on close inspection, but easy to use and many people are very happy with them.
